| Michael studied at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein and obtained his B Proc Degree in 1996. After a year spent travelling abroad, he commenced his articles of clerkship in Pietermaritzburg in 1998 at the firm Badenhorst & Olivier. In 2000 he began working for Tomlinson Mnguni James (then Shepstone & Wylie Tomlinsons) as a professional assistant in the Litigation Department. Over the years he specialised increasingly in the area of Civil/Commercial Litigation, initially dealing with both Magistrate’s Court and High Court matters, but now predominantly High Court. He has always been extensively involved in all aspects of litigation arising from motor vehicle accidents, and from the beginning of his career has handled matters both for and against the Road Accident Fund (RAF). Currently he is the head of the firm's RAF department, and continues to represent prominent clients in commercial litigation matters. |
